Poet in the Sheets
By Anjeneé Cannon
muffled screams intertwined with the ceiling fan
slicing through the heart of the beast.
the lovely prince: tall, dark, and handsome he was.
his rhythm, his thrust, the mahogany luster in his eyes
smooth to the sounds of the ceiling fan blades.
swish, swish, swish!
harder and harder, just hold me tight,
a little while longer.
spoken softly, the sound of your voice,
the taste of your kiss, like music to my ears,
like poetry to my heart.
